WHAT IS OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY?

Occupational therapy helps restore, maintain, or improve function to allow people to do the activities they need to or want to do in their daily life, in the domains of self-care, leisure, and productivity.

Occupational therapists help clients to set meaningful goals and develop individualized treatment plans to work towards those goals.

Occupational therapists take a holistic approach to rehabilitation and consider the whole person (i.e., physical, psychological, spiritual) as well as the environments in which they live, work, and play.
